Apple Fanboys
By benben on 2007-06-09

After owning a Mac for some time now, I have to say that Apple fanboys are nothing more than weak-minded fools who have been brainwashed by shiny white plastic and the clever Apple marketing team.  Get over it.  Shit still breaks.  The OS freezes more than XP SP2 or Vista.  The hardware's shoddy and the service is shit.  There are fewer apps available and the ones worth running are out of control expensive.  I'll take Ubuntu as my alternate OS over this junk.

After only a month, my computer would no longer connect to airport networks.  I took it into a Mac Store.  Had to be a hardware problem, right?  Wrong.  After 2 weeks, they called me to say my computer is ready.  I show up and they say it was a software problem, so they have to charge me $50, even though it was a month old and I had AppleCare.

If it weren't for the snotty little girl making smack comments about Windows to every customer in line before me, I may have been able to keep my cool.  But after how much she boasted that OSX is rock solid, I decided to throw a fit.  "If Macs are so unbreakable, why do you have 150 waiting to be fixed on the shelf behind you and the OS on my brand new computer has to be hard rebooted once a week and randomly decided to stop connecting to wireless networks?"  Then we argued, she cried, and someone waived the fee and apologized that it took two weeks and they didn't call me for a simple task I could have completed myself.

My point: get over it, fanboys.  It's just another computer and OS like every other one out there.  Time for bootcamp and Vista.

And could you add a F*CKING eject button to the DVD-ROM so I can get around this crappy OS that can't seem to eject anything from any drive, ever?

I'm done drunk ranting.  I hear leopard bootcamp lets you switch super quick-like.  I've also got ubuntu on here, which is growing on me.
